NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion's women's tennis team, ranked 74th in the nation in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, downed George Mason 6-1 Sunday afternoon in a Colonial Athletic Association match at the ODU Tennis Courts. The Patriots fall to 4-12 on the season and 1-7 in the CAA.
Mason's only point of the match occurred at No. 6 singles following an ODU default. Senior Dinali DeSilva (Negombo, Sri Lanka/Stafford International School) fell to 22nd-ranked Nataly Cahana at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Katie Sloper (Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton) played well in her match, dropping a 6-3, 6-1 decision at the No. 3 position.
George Mason visits Loyola Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the team's final regular season contest.
