FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason women's lacrosse head coach Amy Umbach announced Friday that the Patriots will open their 2003 season at Maryland's Artificial Turf Field on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
George Mason was supposed to be the host for the game Tuesday, which was to start originally at 3 p.m. at George Mason Stadium. However, due to the recent snowfall accumulations, GMU Stadium was unavailable and the match was moved to Maryland's turf field.
The Patriots return eight starters and 16 letterwinners from last year's team that broke five school records and won nine games - the most by any Mason women's lacrosse team.
