Federal Way, WA--Sophomore Tim Norton (Virginia Beach, VA) finished in 18th place in the 400-meter IM race at the U.S. Open in Federal Way, WA, this past weekend at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA.

Norton swam the final heat in 4:36.35 to place 18th, out of 40 competitors, after finishing with a time of 4:37.65 in the preliminary heat. Brian Johns from Canada claimed first place in the 400-meter IM with a time of 4:18.91.

Mason's swimming and diving teams will return to action on Jan. 8 when they compete at the Cocoa Beach Classic in Cocoa Beach, FL.
