Laura Mikels

Laura Mikels enters her third year at Mason as the assistant rowing coach. Before coming to Mason, Mikels was the novice coach at McLean High School.

She graduated from Indiana University in 2006 with a major in English and History and minor in Studio Art. She received a full athletic scholarship to the university and was a two-time NCAA All-American (2005 and 2006), and three-time All-Big Ten (2004, 2005 and 2006) in rowing. After graduating from Indiana University Laura went to receive her Masters in Education from the University of Florida and graduated from there in 2008.
