George Mason University Athletics

The George Mason University rowing program’s Second Varsity 8+ boat continued its spring momentum with a grand final victory at Sunday’s Mason Invitational.  The Patriot boat finished second in its heat (7:53.90) but saved its best for last, navigating intense conditions to win the grand final by nearly 15 seconds. The triumph placed GMU ahead of crews from Thomas Jefferson and Loyola (Md.).
