Sophomore Abbey Lane delivered a standout two-way performance in the circle and at the plate, helping secure the Patriots’ Game 1 and Game 3 victories over Saint Louis in a crucial A-10 matchup. In the circle, Lane pitched a combined 12.0 innings across both games, posting a 1.75 ERA with 11 strikeouts. In Game 1, she recorded a career-high eight strikeouts in a complete-game effort, earning her 10th win of the season.
At the plate, Lane came through in Game 3 during the Patriots’ come-from-behind win. Her third-inning double sparked the offense, later scoring to put the Patriots on the board. In the sixth inning, Lane added a sacrifice fly to drive in another run, accounting for the final margin in the 4–2 victory.
