Graduate student Luis Maestre, from Elche, Spain, recorded three goals and two assists in two games last week for the Patriots to increase his points streak to five games (4G, 4A). He's tied for first in the Atlantic 10 in assists (9) and is tied for third in the league in points (17).
Maestre scored two goals (14th and 37th minute), including the eventual game-winner and added two assists in Mason's 7-0 victory at Radford on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in Radford, Va. He finished the match with three shots and two shots on goal in 61 minutes of action.
Maestre netted Mason's goal in a 2-1 loss against VCU on Saturday, Oct. 21 in the Patriots final home match of the regular season. He registered three shots and one shot on goal in 90 minutes of action.
