FAIRFAX, Va. – Isabella Kuhn
's strong summer could be a promising sign for her future on the George Mason women's track and field team.
The rising sophomore finished 10th in the 800-meter run at the German National Championships over the weekend in Erfurt Germany. Kuhn ran 2:10.25 in the final after getting through the preliminary heat with a time of 2:11.03.
Kuhn, a native of Cloppenburg, Germany, qualified for the German National Championships after she finished fourth in the 800 at the German U-23 National Championships in June. She ran a personal-best time of 2:09.26 in the final at the U-23 championships.
Kuhn wrapped up her first year at Mason competing in a variety of events in middle distance and distance all the way from the 400-meter run to the mile. She also helped the 4x800-meter relay teams to a pair of silver medals at the Atlantic 10 Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
