Mason Golf Finishes 11th at Maryland Terrapin Invitational

The George Mason golf team finished 11th at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational played at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md. The 36-hole tournament was played yesterday and today at the par-72, 7,250 yard North Course. 

Kyle Hart and Eric Edwards led the Patriots each carding a two-round 150. Hart, who won the tournament last year, followed up his one-under par 71 first round score with a 79 today. Edwards recovered from shooting a 77 in the first round to a 73 today. They both finished tied for 23rd overall.

James Madison won the team title after scoring a team-best 287 today to win by seven strokes over Loyola-Maryland. The host Terrapins led the tournament after the first round with a four-over par as a team but finished third after carding a team 293 today.

Mason will wrap up the fall season next week at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate Oct. 25-27th.
