NEWS & NOTES

After a three-game road swing, the George Mason women's soccer team returns to Fairfax and opens its final three-game homestand of the 2012 regular season Friday night hosting Georgia State in the Game of the Week. Last season, Jazmin Cardoso scored against the Panthers in Atlanta as the conference foes played to a 1-1 draw.

Mason is coming off a tough weekend on the road having dropped decisions at Hofstra and Northeastern. The Patriots will look to rebound with a win on Friday. Tiana Kallenberger continues to lead Mason offensively with a team-best eight goals on the season and is tied for the team lead in assists with three. Liz Hodges adds five goals on the year, while Lyndse Hokanson has played 14 games in net, recording 49 saves.

Georgia State enters Friday's game having also dropped its previous two matchups, most recently falling to James Madison at home. The Panthers are led in scoring by Whitney Ravan with four goals and three assists on the season, while four Panthers post two goals apiece. Rebecca Toler has played 11 games in net, recording 44 saves.
