FAIRFAX, Va. – Home contests against Dayton, VCU and George Washington will highlight the George Mason University men's basketball Atlantic 10 schedule in 2017-18.
 
The Atlantic 10 announced the home and away opponents for each member school on Wednesday, with Mason drawing a number of the league's projected top teams at EagleBank Arena.
 
Mason will play home-and-home series with traditional regional rivals VCU, George Washington and Richmond, while also contesting a pair of games against Saint Joseph's and Massachusetts.
 
In addition to those five home opponents, the Patriots also will host 2017 Atlantic 10 regular season champion Dayton, as well as Saint Bonaventure, which is projected to compete for the league crown in 2017-18. Mason's additional home opponents include Davidson and Saint Louis.
 
In addition to the double opponents, Mason's road slate will include trips to La Salle, Fordham, Duquesne and Rhode Island. URI returns the majority of its team that nearly knocked off Oregon in the Round of 32 this past NCAA Tournament.
 
Dates and times for the Atlantic 10 games will be announced later this summer.
