Marquise Moore was named College Sports Madness Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for his performance during this past week's action leading the Patriots to a 3-1 record, including three straight wins. Mason is 4-3 overall this season.
The Queens, N.Y., native led the Patriots in three of the last four games, averaging 18.7 points, including a career-high tying 23 points against Kent State. He recorded two of his four double-doubles on the season during that span, against Kent State (23 points, 14 rebounds) and Bradley (17 points, 15 rebounds), both wins. He shot 48.8% from the field and got to the foul line 37 times, making 25, and dished out 12 assists.
As a team, Mason won two of the three games played in the Gulf Coast Showcase, 79-75 against Kent State and 77-66 against the Missouri Valley Conference Bradley Braves. The Patriots returned home on Saturday to defeat in-state rival James Madison, 80-77 in overtime.
The Patriots travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa to play Northern Iowa on Wednesday, November 30 at 8 p.m.
